We try to show as much information about each shoe on the website as possible. The label inside the shoe contains the following information:
- The place of origin – where the shoe was actually produced.
- Model number - or the product code of the shoe, which you can also find on the website.
- Size Number - Usually UK (United Kingdom), EUR (Europe), US (United States) sizes and centimetres are given, as shown in our size chart and size selector.
- Main materials of the shoe
The shoes available in the FansBRANDS® online shop are mainly made of eco-leather or fabric. Of course, you can also find shoes made of leather and suede and it is not excluded that higher quality and more expensive shoes also appear on our site. If you cannot find the relevant information about a certain product, do not hesitate to contact us by phone or e-mail!

- The purpose of footwear
Not every shoe can be used for every situation. For example, our Drift Cat shoes cannot be used for hiking. And in general, none of our shoes are suitable for playing football! Defects resulting from improper use are not covered by the warranty, so pay special attention to this aspect ! At FansBRANDS® you will find the following types:
- Sports shoes, handball shoes, thermal shoes : for indoor use only.
- Sports shoes, basketball shoes, thermals : for indoor use only.
- Sports shoes, running shoes : can be used outdoors and indoors.
- Sports shoes, running shoes, outdoor : for outdoor use.
- Sports shoes, tennis shoes : can be used indoors or outdoors.
- Sports shoes, fitness shoes : for indoor use only.
- Sports shoes, trekking shoes : to be used for excursions and trekking.
- Recreational footwear : footwear that is not intended for regular use and can be used for recreational and non-competitive sports activities: their material composition, upper design, upper design, lower structure, except in winter weather conditions, specifically allow active physical activity.
- Footwear to be worn regularly in spring/autumn : footwear that, except in winter weather conditions, is suitable for prolonged use.

- Cleaning, care
Care includes cleaning the shoe from dirt, treating the color and upper with various agents, improving the appearance, regenerating and preparing the shoe for new use. Sometimes the treatment also has the purpose of preserving or improving other characteristics of the shoe.
- Remove light dirt from leather uppers (natural grain) with a soft cloth and a soft-bristled brush, and heavier dirt with a leather eraser , both dry. Apply a thin layer of shoe polish in the same color as the leather, preferably colorless, to the clean and dry surface, then polish after a few minutes. If necessary, you can use a silicone self-polishing product . Never clean leather shoes when they are wet or with water!
- Remove light dirt from coated leather uppers with a soft cloth, then treat with a care product recommended for this material.
- Remove light dirt from suede or nubuck uppers with a soft bristle brush. The surface can be smoothed out with a rubber shoe brush (only pull in one direction!). Heavier dirt can be removed with a leather eraser . It is then recommended to rub the shoe with a suede and nubuck cleaning sponge . Finally, spray the entire upper evenly with a velour nubuck spray in the same color as the upper!
- Oily leather : Clean as described for suede, treat with shoe polish or grease .
- Patent leather : remove dirt with a soft bristle brush or a slightly damp soft cloth; after drying, polish with a soft cloth. You can use a paint cleaner , but not shoe polish!
- Synthetic leather : Remove dirt with a warm cloth moistened with clean water, dry away from radiant heat, then polish with a soft cloth! You can also use the shampoo recommended for synthetic leather, as described in the instructions for use. Do not use shoe polish!
- Textiles : Use a soft bristle brush - used only for this purpose - to remove dust and dirt. For more intense dirt, we recommend using a special shampoo for cleaning fabrics , following the instructions for use.
- Combination - Multi-fabric uppers : Clean and care for the fabric as recommended, taking care not to contaminate the uncleaned fabric. If the materials are very different, you can use a shampoo formulated and recommended for shoes , as described in the care instructions.
- To care for the uppers of footwear with GORE-TEX membranes or similar, use only the products recommended by the manufacturer.
- Liners : If you need to clean liners, do so according to the label and lining material, as described in the upper materials.
- Soles : clean with a stiff brush when dry! If they remain dirty, they can be cleaned with a damp cloth, but be careful not to dirty the upper!
- Some advice, warnings
Do not ignore the following, as it may damage your shoes!
- The shoes we sell are not waterproof, except where specifically indicated. Shoes with nubuck, suede and fabric uppers are not specifically waterproof!
- Wear only closed shoes with socks!
- Always loosen or loosen fastenings (laces, Velcro, buckles, etc.) when putting them on or taking them off, because the bark could be damaged.
- Tighten the closures so that the movement of the heel in the shoe is minimal to avoid damaging the lining.
- When putting on shoes, use a shoehorn!
- After use, polish the shoe or fill the head with paper to smooth out creases!
- Dry damp footwear, whether lined or padded, in a ventilated place away from sources of radiant heat.
- It is very important to change your shoes every day, if possible! Even non-sweaty feet produce sweat, which is absorbed by the lining (the flesh side of the upper leather in the case of unlined shoes). The lining must be able to release it, so it is necessary to rest and ventilate the shoe. Otherwise the materials deteriorate prematurely.
- The embroidered parts are very fragile!
- Wear footwear suitable for the weather conditions!
- If the shoe has a small defect, have it repaired immediately to avoid possible damage!

When shopping, it is especially important to choose clothing products for the purpose of use (sports, leisure) and for the appropriate sport, taking into account the needs of the sport.
Ignoring this aspect can lead to improper use and premature wear, so we invite you to carefully read the information on the labels (sewn and hanging) before purchasing and to ask for our advice.
- Labelling and composition
For clothing products, the necessary information is found in two places: on the sewn-in label and on the tag (and, for some products, on the packaging, if permitted).
The product information is as follows:

- manipulation symbols

- identification mark (which is an item number in addition to the brand)

Size indication:
Please study the size numbers on the product carefully, as there are likely some that you are already familiar with. Our products are characterized by the use of size designations from different countries.
For example:
US (United States): L, CAN (Canada): G, D (German): 40, UK (United Kingdom): 14, F (French): 42, E (Spanish): 44, I (Italian): 44
The listed women's size measurements cover the same anatomical size, according to the size measurements of different countries. The same applies to our men's products. Our sales staff can provide more information about this.
Embedded treatment symbols:
The numbers in the washing symbol indicate the maximum temperature allowed for wet treatment. The hand symbol only allows hand washing with a maximum temperature of 40°C. There are higher washing temperatures than those indicated, but most of our products can be washed at temperatures corresponding to those indicated above. A sign without an underline but with a washing temperature indicates a normal mechanical treatment.
Bleaching instructions:
The triangle with the symbol Cl (chlorine) allows chlorine bleaching.
Ironing instructions:
The permitted ironing temperature is indicated by one, two or three dots.
- One point allows an ironing temperature of 110 C°, considered a normal ironing temperature for delicate synthetic fabrics.
- Two points allow an ironing temperature of 150 C° on the plate.
- Three points allow an ironing temperature of 200 C°.
Never experiment with the ironing temperature, as it is possible that due to some finishes (e.g. heat-sensitive dyes, elastic fibres, etc.) the manufacturer specifies a lower temperature than usual to avoid damaging the material.
Dry cleaning instructions:
- In the case of the letter "A", all common solvents used for dry cleaning can be used.
- In the case of the letter "P", all common solvents used for dry cleaning can be used. In the case of the symbol "P", perchlorethylene and other suitable solvents can be used.
- The letter "F" indicates the use of fluorine and gasoline.
Dry cleaning instructions imply severe limitations to the washing process in terms of adding water, drying temperature and mechanical operations. Self-service washing of linen is not permitted in these cases.
Drying instructions:
One dot in the symbol means a lower drying temperature, two dots mean a higher drying temperature.
Important: A crossed out symbol always indicates a prohibition, i.e. a treatment that is not permitted.
- Textual user manual
- It is advisable to wash colored products (except pastel colors) separately during the pre-wash, so as to remove excess dye that may have "spilled" onto the surface of the fabric without discoloring it when washed with other garments.
- Linen trousers (and other types of similar products) with a colour-retaining finish should always be washed separately, inside out.
- However, backed products that have been washed in pile should not be washed inside out, as short, frayed fibres may stick to the surface of other items washed together.
- The formation of loops in products with a looped surface is reduced by washing and it is therefore advisable to wash them before the first sampling.
- Immediately after swimming in the sea or in thermal water, rinse your swimsuit in clean running water and then wash it at home with a liquid detergent. Remove sunscreen with a mild detergent! Never dry your swimsuit in the sun or leave it wrapped in a towel for long periods of time! Concrete surfaces can damage the fabric of your swimsuit. Always sit or lie down on a towel!
- Wash your feather robe (if washable) according to the sewn-in treatment symbol! Always dry at room temperature, away from heat sources, in a lying position. During drying, the product must be turned several times and the feather must be dissolved. If the quilting is dense to prevent the feather from migrating, shaking the feather may not dissolve it enough, in which case the feather in the flights must be gently "rubbed". This operation may require considerable physical work, but will restore the coat to its original appearance.
- Always wash products with the drawstring or Velcro closed to avoid premature wear and damage to other parts of the product by the closures.
- Depending on the composition of the raw material and the structure of the fabric, many sweaters can only be dried flat and true to shape to avoid deformation. For example, pure wool and pure cotton sweaters, but it is also advisable to dry wool and acrylic blend sweaters this way.
- When washing wool and wool products, use only wool detergents.
- Printed patterns cannot be ironed!
- Cotton and polyester blend T-shirts and sweaters are naturally prone to pilling. The appearance of pilling can be delayed and reduced by washing the reverse side (inside out) and ironing with a smoothing iron after drying.
- The surface of furnishing fabric products should be smoothed after washing, while still wet, by lightly brushing in the direction of the fibres. The product will thus retain its original finish for a long time.
- Important information
- Handle all products only in accordance with the handling instructions and sewn-in text instructions! Any other manipulation may damage the product and limit or void your warranty rights.
- Do not apply concentrated detergents or rinsing agents to the product!
- Take special care when using products with color combinations or decorated with pastel colors and use a gentle detergent to prevent darker colors from discoloring lighter ones.
- Most clothing products today are easy to handle, even wash, so soaking is usually not necessary. However, if you think the product is more soiled, wash it ahead of time! Soaking, especially if the product has been in the wash solution too long, can cause stains.
