Sebastian Vettel has expressed his support for his former great rival. According to the German world champion, if anyone can pull Ferrari out of a long period of difficulty, it is Lewis Hamilton.
Although he is rooting for his teammate's success, he once failed to express his potential at Scuderia Ferrari precisely because of Hamilton. But this does not bother Vettel:
“It's true, I didn't succeed because Lewis had a better package with Mercedes at that time. We'll see how the cooperation with Ferrari will go, but I'm rooting for him with all my heart. We fought a lot against each other, over time we became good friends, and there is no need to prove to anyone his abilities and the work he has invested. He is the most sincere driver in the current Formula 1, his results and records speak for themselves, and he always uses his influence for positive purposes, so it's joyful that he is still part of the grid. I'm rooting for him to win the championship, but it won't be easy. There is Charles Leclerc, who is very talented, and the two form a very strong pair, but it doesn't depend only on them whether they still have chances to win the title in the last races. Let's hope it will be a close fight, so everyone will benefit from it,” Sebastian Vettel reflected.
