If there is one thing that can be called the low point of the season, it is clearly Liam Lawson's ordeal. The Red Bull Racing youngster is performing so poorly that his team may already rule him out before the Japanese Grand Prix...
Max Verstappen obviously has an opinion on the current situation, and - although it's not necessarily what emerges from the context - he defended his teammate:
“We know, we see that in every other team the drivers are very close to each other. This also shows that our car is extremely difficult, very complicated to drive. I think if Liam Lawson moved to Racing Bulls now, he would immediately be faster and more competitive. That car is in fact much easier to drive than ours. Last year I would never have thought it would work like this, the team saw what the difference was between Yuki Tsunoda and him, and that's why they put him in the other Red Bull Racing car,” said Max Verstappen.
