Few people know that Max Verstappen is not only involved in Formula 1, but also has his own racing team, which recently signed a contract with Aston Martin.
This is quite interesting in light of the popular F1 rumours, and is seen as a strong move, given that Verstappen.com Racing will enter the GT World Challenge Endurance championship with the British manufacturer's race car and with its direct support.
The Aston Martin Vantage GT3 will be driven by the trio of Harry King, Thierry Vermeulen and Chris Lulham. The latter will find the challenge particularly exciting, as the youngster comes from the world of simulators and this will be his first racing car with which he will compete in reality. Verstappen's team has long supported the emergence of young drivers, but this will be the first time it has offered an opportunity to a sportsman coming from a virtual context:
“I have always dreamed that one day I would help young racing drivers, and for some time now I have been working to create this opportunity for a sim driver. Together with Chris Lulham, with whom we know each other well from the Team Redline sim team, as well as Thierry Vermeulen and Harry King, we are taking on a new and exciting challenge. We will be working with a professional team in a championship that represents a very serious challenge. We still have a lot of work to do to get the most out of our cars and drivers, but our goal is clearly to fight for the top positions. An exciting year awaits us!” - said Max Verstappen, for whom it cannot be ruled out at all that he will join the unit one day.
