Ralf Schumacher believes it is impossible for Lewis Hamilton to reach an agreement with Scuderia Ferrari this year; if the team wins the individual championship, it will owe it to Charles Leclerc.
Schumacher does not provide a professional explanation for this, but states it from an intuition:
“I don’t know why, but I have the feeling that if Ferrari wins the world title, it will be Charles Leclerc who gets it. When you change teams and arrive at a new team in Formula 1, it takes at least six to eight months to fully integrate into the working environment and to understand inside out how to move. And I think this is completely independent of whether you are talented, fast, experienced or hard-working. Let’s not forget that during this period Leclerc will certainly not sit on his hands, on the contrary. He will use all the skills he can put to his advantage. He has six years of experience, a fluent knowledge of Italian and, of course, the relationships he has built…” - reflected the former driver.
