Qualifying for the Las Vegas Grand Prix is coming up soon, and one of the favorites could be Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes.

Jenson Button claims that Hamilton is simply too old and slow for qualifying! It is quite a harsh statement, but not without foundation. So far, only one person and only once managed to beat the seven-time world champion in qualifying, and his name was Nico Rosberg. In 2014, the total score was 12-7 in favor of Rosberg, while this season Hamilton, who will be a Ferrari driver next year, is receiving a much harder defeat from George Russell:
“Lewis is almost 40, maybe that’s why he has dropped in qualifying. However high his performance, however good his reflexes, he can no longer compete with the youngsters. He is too old for that, he can’t keep them at bay in one lap and probably has a hard time accepting that his opponents are not only faster, fresher, but also consistent,” Button commented brutally about his former rival.
