It was not an easy weekend for the Australian Grand Prix, but McLaren and especially Lando Norris showed great professionalism, managing to win without ever giving up the possibility of victory. In Woking they do not hide that they expect similar successes in the future...
These were the words of Lando Norris, who declared: the best of 2025 is McLaren, whoever wants to become world champion must beat us:
“We know that we still have a lot of work to do on this year’s car. We can’t afford to relax, if we let ourselves go in this situation, we will lose; if we think everything is fine, they will overtake us. We will not do this favor!
However, we see and feel that this year we are the favourites, the team has done a sensational job, our car is really flying. But we are aware that there will be races where we will also suffer. For example, if the opening Grand Prix had been in Bahrain, I don't think we would have won... But it is a fact that this year we will be the team to beat if anyone wants to fight for the world title. We have two drivers in the lead who will push each other, and Oscar Piastri will not do us the favour of making mistakes often. Already in qualifying we were strong because we motivated each other to continuously improve, and we squeezed the last tenths out of the car. So, the car is good, but our team is also very strong, and this is just the beginning,” - stressed Norris.
