Helmut Marko and his team have once again made a typical blunder that fits perfectly into the Red Bull Racing model, firing Liam Lawson after just two races. It’s not just the driver in question who is unhappy.
Not even the team's icon, Max Verstappen, is. Verstappen has already given numerous signs of not being satisfied with his situation at RBR, it could be a further push for him in another direction...
"We are aware that Max is not happy. But he must also understand that we need two cars, not only for the constructors' championship. Much more than anything, to help him win another world title. Strategically we need both our cars in the top positions, hopefully Yuki Tsunoda can live up to the expectations on him. Yuki arrives in good shape and if he can maintain this performance here, it will be an advantage for Max. Previously we did not choose him because he was not balanced enough. However, Lawson cracked under pressure, entered a negative spiral and could not get out of it. He found himself in a situation similar to a boxer who is counted on. We were wrong not to see this weakness in him earlier." - said Marko, probably adding further wings to the "rumors" about Verstappen / Aston Martin.
