Even though the season has not yet started, more and more voices in the industry are drawing attention to the fact that reigning champion Red Bull Racing has a long way to go.
This is not even denied by Red Bull, on the contrary. Of course, now you can comment with nonsense like "he's sleeping" and so on, but the truth is that during the tests a certain characteristic emerged. And regarding the Australian Grand Prix, it does not foreshadow the success of Max Verstappen. This was also recognized by Helmut Marko, who in an interview stressed that, although they have made progress compared to 2024, the others have done more:
“The clear favorite at the moment is McLaren. During the tests it was clear that they have gained a lot both in single laps and over long distances, not to mention tire wear. However, their advantage cannot be called alarming, especially considering the weather conditions in which the first kilometers were driven.
It would be difficult to predict the exact order of strength, but I think that this year there could even be four teams competing against each other. I am talking about the same four teams that dominated the field last year, only I expect a more intense fight,” said Helmut Marko.
We can only add that if things were to go that way, we wouldn't mind at all!
