Scuderia Ferrari can boast a quiet and uneventful day, and any true F1 fan knows how important this is after the first day of testing a new car.
The Bahrain test is of fundamental importance for all participants, but if there is anyone for whom it is more crucial than anything, it is certainly Lewis Hamilton. It is a good sign that not only him, but also Charles Leclerc made very positive statements at the end of the first day:
“It’s always great to end a smooth day with a new car and not face any unexpected issues during your program. Of course, it’s still early to talk about performance, we still have a lot of analysis to do and process data overnight, so we can be more informed tomorrow,” Leclerc said.
“It’s exciting to test, I like this part of the year. This is the first time we can see where everyone is and we can also feel what’s to come. Well, after just one lap I can say that it was an incredible experience to drive the SF-25. At the moment we are just experimenting, the focus is on collecting data and of course getting used to the car better. But even after just one day we have already learned a lot, and I have a really good feeling!” - Hamilton exulted.
