The sprint race kicked off the United States Grand Prix, where Max Verstappen was able to start from pole position after a long time, and converted this opportunity into a victory.
Verstappen had a good start, but Lando Norris did even better and quickly moved the Dutchman into second place. Behind them, George Russell maintained a stable position, while there were no major movements at the back. It was not the same for Scuderia Ferrari, where the drivers fought hard, and even attacked the leading group. Looking at the names between first and sixth place, there was nothing particularly surprising, but looking further down, the situation was quite different: two Haas in the top ten, and Sergio Perez, as usual, could not overtake Yuki Tsunoda even with a more competitive car, so events followed one another quickly. In the end, after a great fight, Perez managed to overtake the Japanese, who was also overtaken by Oscar Piastri. By lap 19, Verstappen's victory was already indisputable, but behind him a great battle for the podium was taking place. In the end, Carlos Sainz, who put in an extraordinary performance throughout the sprint race, took second place, ahead of Lando Norris.
The timing will come soon, hopefully with similar emotions!
