Franco Collapinto's debut and extraordinary performances do not only mean the beginning of a new career, but also the return of a nation to Formula 1. Moreover, of a Grand Prix with an important tradition!
It is none other than the Argentine Grand Prix, for which official negotiations have already begun in Brazil. The Argentine delegation was represented by the country's Minister of Tourism and Sports, while Stefano Domenicali represented Formula 1. After the talks, Cesar Carman, president of the Argentine Automobile Club, spoke about the plans and ideas:
“Stefano has been really open and kind to us. He said he would like to see another Grand Prix on the race calendar, but he did not hide that he expects a lot of work from us, and we need to get to work as soon as possible if we are serious about our intentions. We have a lot to do, we need to improve the current circuit so that it can obtain the maximum certification needed for F1. We are very optimistic, but it is difficult to make predictions; if I really have to, I think an Argentine Grand Prix could become a reality in 2027-2028. I do not deny it, the debut and successes of Franco Colapinto motivate us a lot, many things are happening thanks to him. The fans are enthusiastic, everyone is in fibrillation, these are dream days in Argentina,” said Carman.
