Predictably, there has been a real frenzy surrounding Lewis Hamilton's first arrival in Maranello - and yet the seven-time world champion hasn't even sat in his car yet. He will on Wednesday, but the fans don't care, they're already there and there's not a room free anywhere nearby.
Of course, Scuderia Ferrari also reported the big day, which gives us a detailed idea of the newcomer's schedule:
“Lewis arrived at our headquarters in Maranello in the morning, where he was given a tour. From there, his route took him to the Fiorano racetrack, where he visited the home of Enzo Ferrari and met Frederic Vasseur and Benedetto Vigna in the square named after the other seven-time world champion, Michael Schumacher. Here the usual first photos were taken, featuring Lewis’s favorite Ferrari model, the F40.
Afterwards, they visited Enzo Ferrari's house, including the famous office from which the founder followed the business of his team. Hamilton then returned to the HQ, where he met the management and, for the rest of the day, participated in a complete and in-depth program together with Pietro Ferrari.
He visited the various departments, met the team and had the seat fitted. The work will continue tomorrow with technical briefings, with which the actual preparation for the challenging season that awaits us will begin,” declared the Ferrari press department.
