The FIA president continues to stick to his idea of "cleaning up" communication between drivers. And if sanctions fail to achieve this, then encryption may come.
Yet radio communications have already provided motorsport fans with many unforgettable moments, such as Kimi Raikkonen's classics or Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen's jokes. However, the FIA is waging a war against both common sense and humor, which means that from 2025, anyone who uses obscene language on the radio could lose points. And that's still not good enough for Mohammed Ben Sulayem, who would also exclude spectators from the aforementioned experience and encrypt radio communications.
“Should we turn off live radio communication? There are efforts in that direction. There are many things we are working on involving the promoters. No one should forget that we are still the owners of the championship, we will determine the direction to go in.” - declared the sports director.
We don't want to sound rude, but doesn't someone finally want to remove this management from the FIA?
