They didn't wait for the collective tests on Wednesday, they already unveiled their new car last night, which they will take to the track in Bahrain tomorrow, as part of a film day.
The team chose the usual online presentation, during which they published graphics of the AMR25. According to Fernando Alonso, this model differs by 95% from last year's race car. The sidepods have changed, the front wing, which has a significant development. Their goal is to achieve better speed in slower corners than before. In addition, the cooling management has been restructured, the engine cover and the entire aesthetics have improved in terms of the efficiency of the aerodynamic package.
All these changes have been made to improve the car's driveability, to avoid the difficulties seen last year, when Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll suffered a lot. With the innovations listed above, Aston Martin could be more competitive even on tracks with technical characteristics that were a weak point last year.
“For our car this year, we have used all the lessons and feedback from last season. Our aim was to deliver a much more driveable car for Lance and Fernando, we have worked hard to keep it under control and make it easy to handle,” said Andy Cowell, the boss of the green team.
